Solar energy
Printing services at KOPA will be powered by solar energy
At KOPA, we are committed to sustainability principles, making decisions that reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource use. By investing in eco-friendly technologies, we continuously enhance our production processes to protect the environment and contribute to the development of sustainable industry.
Our drive to operate more sustainably has led us to a strategic decision: implementing a project to acquire and install a solar power plant. This solar energy system will not only reduce electricity costs but also significantly decrease greenhouse gas emissions, thus contributing to environmental protection and promoting responsible energy consumption.
This solution will enable us to stabilize production costs, mitigate the risks associated with fluctuations in electricity prices, and ensure competitive production conditions for our clients.
Printing house KOPA has applied to the Lithuanian Energy Agency and been granted support from the joint project "Investment Support for Solar Power Plants on Land." This initiative is part of the economic recovery and resilience-building plan, "New Generation Lithuania," funded by the European Union's "NextGenerationEU" economic recovery instrument.
Allocated EU funding: €169,063.65
Planned capacity of the land-based solar power plant: 450 kW
Project duration: December 2024 – January 2026
