31ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRINTING HOUSE REUNITES A GREAT TEAM

As always, we welcome spring with elevated spirits as we celebrate the anniversary of the Printing House on April 15th. This is a time to not only celebrate another year, but also to look back on the work done last year, the targets achieved and the challenges that prevailed in the market. This year was marked by efforts to manage turbulence in the supply of raw materials, mitigate the effects of the pandemic and search for new, productive opportunities.
 

The end of the pandemic finally allowed us to reunite a large number of employees and guests to celebrate our company's 31st birthday. The founders of the Printing House, Saulius Mudėnas, Director of the company, and Žaneta Mudėnienė, Head of CSR Projects and Public Procurement, shared a welcome speech and opened the festive afternoon. 
 

During the celebration, we did not forget the anniversary tradition of rewarding employees who have been with KOPA for ten years. This year, we had as many as five of them: Virginija Kriaučiūnienė, Edita Morkvėnienė, Vytis Zasimauskas, Darius Trakimas and Darius Mižutavičius. We are proud of the experience gained by our colleagues over a decade and the competencies they cultivate, through which we can take an increasingly bold step towards achieving our goals.
 

Beyond the threshold of thirty years, we want to show maturity not only by focusing on quality and the well-being of ourselves and our customers, but also by finding more environmentally sustainable solutions. While sustainability and environmental protection have always gone hand in hand with our values and the evolution of our production processes, the past year has brought new opportunities and changes in the field of green.
 

Most recently, we introduced INGEDE-certified LED UV S5 inks for offset printing to our customers. These inks are much easier to detach from paper during the recycling process than the offset inks currently on the market. It is a more environmentally friendly alternative that not only ensures a high quality of printed products but also facilitates paper recycling.
 

In February, we received a climate certificate from our supplier, Climate Partner. To ensure that each product is produced as sustainably as possible, we can now calculate emissions from production, provide transparent product labelling with a unique ID, and contribute to global climate protection by supporting carbon offset projects.
 

The search for more environmentally friendly alternatives to PUR adhesives last year has not only led to technological improvements but also to the development of an additional service. If required, we are the only company in Lithuania and the Baltic States to offer our customers a service for measuring the adhesive strength of custom-printed glued brochures in accordance with the international ISO 19594:2017 standard.
